Value Of Time - A Short Story

"Love" was
not in a hurry. Still he has to do so many things. As the cloud started
grunting, Love thought that he should leave this place soon. But no boat was left
there. Love started looking everywhere with a hope. Then, he saw “Prosperity”
sitting on a luxurious boat.
“Prosperity
will you give me a place in your boat?”
“No, my boat
is loaded with plenty of money, gold and silver. There’s no place left for
you,” Prosperity replied.
After
sometimes he saw “Beauty” going in a boat.
Love
shouted, “I am left behind. Will you take me with yourself?”
Beauty said with pride, “No, my boat will become dirty by your muddy foots.”
Love was
feeling helpless. But after sometimes he saw “Sadness” and on asking the help
Sadness said, “I am very sad and want to leave alone.” “Happiness” was so much
happy that she didn’t even hear love’s voice.
Love was
feeling ignored. He thought that nobody needs him. “Come Love, I will take you
with me.” Love didn’t recognize the voice, but without taking any time he sat
on the boat. Finally, he was relaxed.
After
getting out from the boat Love met with “Knowledge”.
Stuck in the thoughts Love
asked, “Knowledge, Can you tell me who helped me?”
Knowledge
said, “He was Time.”
“Why Time
will help me?”
“Because only Time knows your importance and your capabilities,”
Knowledge replied.
“Often we ignore Love in prosperity, happiness and sadness. We
understand the importance of love in our life with time,” Knowledge added with
smile.
